  • Director of Strategic Planning

    The Director of Strategic Planning for the Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve Initiative is a pivotal role focused on leading and coordinating the strategic planning process for the future National Park and Preserve. This includes collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders at local, state, national, and tribal levels. The Director will support the facilitation of the strategic plan in partnership with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission and consultants, as well as develop progress reports for the foundations funding the initiative and its board of directors. Regular stakeholder meetings with the Initiative's steering committee will be convened, ensuring alignment with the National Park Service for infrastructure upgrades and matching civic expectations. Additionally, the role involves coordination with local non-profits to foster regional collaboration on multimodal connectivity and investment, maintaining administrative responsibilities under the Executive Director's guidance, and working closely with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation on park development matters under the direction of the Director of Advocacy.

    Full-Time - Salary Range ($80,000-$100,000)

  • Director of Development

    The Director of Development for the Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve Initiative is tasked with leading the organization's fundraising efforts, primarily focusing on the conservation of the Middle Georgia landscape around the Ocmulgee Corridor, with 60 to 70 percent of programming efforts directed towards this goal. This role involves the creation and execution of a multifaceted, nonprofit fundraising model, as well as managing administrative and financial organizational duties in coordination with the Executive Director, Treasurer, and Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include writing and creating content for grant applications and potential donors, maintaining a comprehensive and accurate donor database, and utilizing social media and other communication channels for fundraising outreach. Additionally, the Director will identify and manage state and federal grant opportunities related to conservation, collaborate with various partners on grant applications, and produce regular financial and fundraising reports for stakeholders and the board of directors.

    Full-Time - Salary Range ($80,000-$100,000)

  • Administrative Coordinator (PT)

    The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of office tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the workplace. These tasks include answering phone calls, responding to emails, organizing files, preparing documents, reports, and correspondence, as well as handling data entry and inventory management. The role also encompasses bookkeeping duties and providing comprehensive administrative support to the team. The coordinator is tasked with scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and assisting with office management duties such as maintaining office supplies and equipment. Additionally, the Administrative Coordinator will coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations, playing a crucial role in supporting the organization's logistical needs.

    Part-Time - Salary Range
    ($16,000-$22,000)
