The National Park Service has released a long awaited boundary study for the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds National Monument. A meeting for the public will be held on Thursday, March 6 at the Indian Mounds Visitor Center from 5:00-8:00 pm.

Alternative 2 in the study will provide these rich and fragile resources with the greatest protection. If this proposal is accepted by the National Parks Service the area could be expanded by 2,100 acres, which would bring the total acreage to 2,800 acres.
